  • A Preparation Guide. Complete guide with everything you need to know to carry out a native planting project in your schoolyard using the Schoolyard Habitat Restoration Unit.

  • A Teacher Guide. Detailed lesson plans. 13 lessons that take 6-8 weeks of class time.

  • A Student Notebook. All the handouts students need for the entire unit.

  • PowerPoints. Each lesson has a PowerPoint to guide the hands-on, student centered activities.

  • Customizable Ecosystem Card Set. This template, with instructions, is the key to localizing this unit to your bioregion.

  • Assessments. Two quizzes, a final assessment, and rubrics for grading.

2. Virtual Professional Development Workshop. Access to two recorded workshops. The first is an overview of Symbiotic Schoolyard and how to prepare for the restoration project. The second is a lesson by lesson training in the Schoolyard Habitat Restoration Unit.

3. One-on-One Support. During a scheduled zoom call, I provide customized support for your unique project. This can include helping you to identify a restoration site in your schoolyard and/or a volunteer expert partner. I really enjoy listening to what teachers need to be successful and supporting teachers one-on-one. I bring years of experience working with schools.

Many teachers are able to get their school to cover the cost, billed as professional development or curriculum. If your school can’t cover the cost and $350 represents hardship, please email me. I want SS to be available to everyone at a price they can afford.
